Packing for the Troops Every Wednesday!
Spruce Creek students have been terrific volunteers in our packing efforts. Each Wednesday, approximately 15 regular Club members and non-member volunteers fill the Headquarters with activity. For two hours or more, they work diligently filling requests from our military personnel serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Over the past 3 years RCSVC members have packed more than $300,000 in supplies and gifts for the troops
Erik Halleus is Committee Chair for RCSVC's Scholarship Program. Each year the Club chooses one or two deserving teens who exhibit the qualities that make them outstanding young Republicans. Eric is presenting a Certificate of Appreciation to each volunteer.
Headquarters is filled to the brim with items for our Troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Member Jan Donohue shows the young patriots how to find the items for each box. Volunteers eagerly welcomed and immediately put to work. Each week 60-70 boxes are mailed from the New Smyrna Beach Post Office.
